We are happy to announce that we have been asked to contribute a gift certificate to the 2010 Oak Point Homeowners Charity Golf Tournament. This terrific event is raising money for Homes For Our Troops and the Alzheimer’s Association and quite frankly, we can’t think of two better organizations to be supporting!
This event is scheduled for September 23, 2010 at Lakeville’s Back Nine Club and is open to the public. If you’re a golfer and you love to win raffles – all while supporting excellent organizations – then this is the event for you!

For the last two weeks in January, South Shore Computer Repair was the “Featured Business of the Week” inside the Middleboro branch of Eastern Bank. We had a great time working with the folks at Eastern Bank to get the table setup and ready to go and really appreciate the opportunity to add an extra week to our showcase inside the bank.
If you are a small business in Middleboro, and do your business banking at Eastern Bank, this is a terrific way to showcase your products and services. If you’re not already doing your business banking at Eastern Bank, give them a call!
Thanks to our partners – NJ Photo, Pete Wilcox and Sons and Flat Iron Cafe – for providing materials and support during our two week appearance at the bank. We love all of our partners!

On December 2, 2009 the Kiwanis Club, the Middleboro High School Key Club and the Nichols Middle School Builders Club are sponsoring a “Eat to Heat” event at the Middleboro Council on Aging Center.
The Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community, at a time. This year’s event includes the raffle of a “giving tree” that will raise funds to go towards scholarships for local student and/or sponsor a family in need this holiday season.
To purchase a ticket, call Key Club advisor Pat Bettencourt at 508.946.2010, extension 104. Tickets can also be purchased from Kiwanis President Sonya Gallo, at the Mayflower Cooperative Bank or at the Council on Aging.
South Shore Computer Repair is just one of many local businesses that has donated items for the “Eat to Heat” raffle event. Please join us in supporting this terrific organization that provides support to many of your neighbors and friends.

Future Of Middleborough Trust 500-Piece Puzzles!
The Future of Middleborough Trust (FOMT) was formed in 2008 by a group of concerned citizens is now a tax-exempt charitable organization. The mission of FOMT is to work help the people of Middleborough stay safe and and enjoy our wonderful community.
Middleborough has a diverse population and rich history. But we also have rising numbers of incidences of illnesses like autism, Alzheimers, Downs Syndrome and other maladies. One of the side effects of these illnesses is the tendency of the patient to wander off and become disoriented and lost.
With this in mind, FOMT’s first project is the implementation of PROJECT LIFESAVER in the Town of Middleborough. In order to implement PROJECT LIFESAVER, the Future of Middleborough Trust is raising money with the sale of a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle.
The puzzle is a beautiful photograph, taken in May 2005, of Middleborough’s Veterans Memorial Park with our historic – and possibly haunted? – town hall in the background. The puzzles are $15.00 a piece and make the perfect gift for the puzzle fanatics in your circle of friends and family.
South Shore Computer Repair is proud to be helping FOTM with the sale of these puzzles in our store. We have a puzzle displayed in our store window so be sure to stop by and take a look. Once you’re ready to buy – and in the process, support this phenomenal effort by FOTM – come on into the shop on Wednesdays between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM or Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All proceeds from the puzzle sales will go directly to the Future of Middleborough Trust and PROJECT LIFESAVER!
You can read all about this project in the November 26, 2009 issue of the Middleborough Gazette…

Last night, South Shore Computer Repair made its very first presentation to an outside group. Oak Point Community’s Computer Club was a great group and we had a blast telling them about our services and answering their questions about computers and technology in general. And, oh boy, did they have questions!
Our thanks to @pcunix who invited us into Oak Point and gave us the opportunity to speak to the computer club. We must have held their interest for a little while because Tony posted a very nice review of our dog and pony show – http://aplawrence.com/Employment/speaking.html.
We also had our official shop photographers – NJ Photo – with us to take some pictures of the big presentation… so stay tuned for some fabulous photos from South Shore Computer Repair’s presentation at Oak Point. We’re just hoping they invite us back…
